About the Role
Westray Recruitment are currently recruiting for a reliable and hands-on Production Operative to join a busy operational and production environment on a temporary to ongoing basis.
This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and is comfortable supporting across production, prodcution, quality control and general site operations.
The successful candidate will play an important part in preparing, handling, packing and moving products, while ensuring quality standards and health and safety expectations are consistently met.

- 1 x 20-minute paid morning break
- 1 x 15-minute paid afternoon break
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for
- Carrying out general production operative duties
- Supporting warehousing tasks including order packing, order preparation and stock movement
- Assisting with stock control and stock checks
- Carrying out quality control checks against product specifications
- Washing and preparing packing units, including jet washing, damage checks and quality inspections
- Handling, bagging and de-bagging products
- Working on production lines involving both finished goods and raw materials
- Loading export shipping containers
- Unloading import shipping containers
- Maintaining site cleanliness, housekeeping and general site standards
- Supporting general site maintenance duties where required
- Providing assistance across all operational areas of the business as needed
About You
The ideal candidate will have
- Previous production, warehousing, manufacturing or labouring experience
- A hands-on and flexible approach to work
- Good attention to detail, particularly when checking stock and product quality
- The ability to follow instructions and work safely
- A reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude
- Confidence working in a fast-paced operational environment
- Willingness to support across different areas of the site when required
Experience in production, packing, stock handling, container loading, goods-in/goods-out, general warehouse operations or site housekeeping would be advantageous.
