At WUTH we understand the importance of clinical coding to support patient care and help improve health outcomes. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with excellent communication skills to join our friendly Clinical Coding team as a Clinical Coding Team Manager.

Reporting to the Head of Clinical Coding, the post includes responsibility for the daily supervision of a team of coding staff. The role involves working alongside existing Team Manager and a Clinical Coding Trainer and Auditors, to help develop the Clinical Coding service further.

We are committed to training and developing our staff so applicants for this position must hold the National Clinical Coding Qualification (UK), have post-qualification experience and be able to demonstrate attendance on Refresher and Specialty Workshops. The role is flexible in combining on-site and home-based working. Applicants may be required to work on other sites and in other areas within the Trust. All applicants must be willing to maintain their skills by attendance on workshops and refresher training courses.

This role includes an RRP of 7%. To manage a team of Accredited Clinical Coders to provide accurate, timely and complete clinical data for episodes of care that meets local requirements, are compliant with National standards and meet the requirements for Payment by Results and other processes which rely on high quality coded clinical information.
