Here is an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Registered Nurse. You will work as RGN within the Day Stay and Elective Admission Lounge, delivering high quality patient centred care to patients undergoing planned same day procedures and in patient admissions. The role involves admission, peri-procedural support and safe discharge. While in the Elective lounge, this supports patient pathways to in patient admissions.
You will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective and timely care in the fast-paced environment. The day stay unit provides care from 7am - 10pm for 5 days and 7am - 3:30pm for the Elective Admission Lounge.
You have to provide safe, high quality nursing care. Assess, monitor & support patients through admission, recovery and discharge. Monitor patients, manage pain, and recognise and escalate deterioration. Communicate effectively with patients, relatives and the multidisciplinary team. Adhere to Trust policies and NMC code.
