The predicted salary is between 22430 - 27414 Β£ per year.
You will be responsible for coordinating patient appointments, clinic booking, maintaining patient records and acting as point of contact for patients, clinicians and multidisciplinary teams. Ensure all required pre-operative information is available, documentation is completed and systems are kept up to date in line with Trust policies and confidentiality standards.
The role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced clinical environment. It also supports service delivery by prioritising workloads, responding to queries, and contributing to service improvement through efficient administrative processes.
Work flexibly as part of the administrative team to ensure continuity of service. Pre-Assessment opens from 7:30-17:30, Monday until Friday.
Within your role you will coordinate and undertake the role of booking patients for pre-assessment, using spreadsheets provided by specialties. Liaise with Inpatient and Outpatient Booking teams and all directorates for the services supported by the Pre-assessment Service to ensure effective pathway management and to maintain good working relationships.
Maintain updated patient records on the Trust IT system, ensuring compliance with data protection and confidentiality policies. Liaise with wards, theatres, pre-assessment teams and external providers to support effective scheduling and patient flow.
Manage telephone calls, emails and correspondence, prioritising workload in a busy environment. Support service delivery by following standard operating procedures and contributing to service improvements. Undertake general administrative duties including filing, scanning, data entry, maintaining stationery and ordering if required.
