Locum Consultant Interventional Radiologist
A broad range of vascular and non-vascular interventional radiology procedures are undertaken within the IR department which include, but are not limited to; peripheral angioplasty/stenting, embolisation, vascular access procedures, urological/biliary stenting, gastrostomy and GI stenting.
The more complex arterial procedures are carried out at the Basildon hub.
A supra-regional multidisciplinary service for the treatment of adults and children with vascular malformations is based at MEHT.
Interventional radiology and plastic surgery lead the vascular malformation team with shared outpatient clinics.
Sclerotherapy, embolisation and hybrid IR/surgical procedures are performed within IR.
