We’re seeking a candidate with recent experience in general surgical or day surgery nursing, who also brings a background in managing or leading within a clinical setting.

Act as a mentor to students, including teaching and assessing within their realm of competence, upholding the philosophy of evidence-based practice.

  • To ensure the efficient running of the speciality in the absence of the Manager.
  • To maintain high standards of clinical care, ensuring that all actions are carried out with full regard for the safety of patients and staff involved.
  • To display strong professional leadership qualities.
  • To assist the Manager in the management of day surgery unit which includes the ward, theatres and recovery.
  • To deputise for delegated tasks as deemed appropriate by the Manager.
