Manufacturing Operations Leader to join a world-class aerospace manufacturing business at its Devon based facility.

Working within a highly innovative aerospace environment, you will lead production teams, drive operational excellence, and champion continuous improvement initiatives to deliver outstanding safety, quality, delivery, and productivity performance.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing and production activities within a defined production area.
  • Manage, coach, and develop production teams to achieve operational targets.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Deliver key KPIs including Safety, Quality, On-Time Delivery, First Pass Yield, and Productivity.
  • Champion High Performance Work Teams and employee engagement.
  • Support maintenance and facilities activities to maximise plant performance.
  • Lead culture change and promote a strong health & safety mindset.
  • Provide strategic direction, resource planning, and operational leadership.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Degree qualified or equivalent.
  • 3+ years' experience in Manufacturing or Operations.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement knowledge.
  • Experience with Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Visual Management, and 6S.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and coaching skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills using methodologies such as 8D or A3.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
