A busy and welcoming secondary school is seeking a temporary Attendance Administrator to join their team this September.
You'll play a vital role in supporting student success by helping to ensure attendance records are accurate, up to date, and effectively managed within a supportive school environment.

Your responsibilities will include
- Monitoring and recording daily student attendance
- Investigating and following up on unexplained absences.
- Communicating with parents and carers regarding attendance concerns.
- Maintaining accurate attendance records using school systems.
- Producing attendance reports and data for school leaders.
- Supporting the pastoral and safeguarding teams.
- Responding to attendance-related queries from staff, students and parents.
- Helping to promote a culture where every school day counts
- What you'll need to succeed
We're looking for someone who can bring energy, organisation, and a positive can-do attitude to the role.
You’ll ideally have
- Previous administration experience (school experience is desirable but not essential)
- Strong IT skills and confidence using databases and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Exceptional attention to detail
- The ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
- A proactive approach with the confidence to use your own initiative
- A commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, and professionalism
- The ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
