We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of Workshop Controller at their reputable automotive dealership in Barking, London. Duties of the Workshop Controller:
- Planning and controlling workshop loading to optimise productivity and efficiency
- Allocating work to technicians and monitoring progress throughout each shift
- Ensuring all workshop processes are completed to the highest standards
- Managing customer communication and providing regular updates on vehicle repairs
- Maintaining workshop productivity reports and analysing performance data
- Supporting technicians and assisting with technical or operational issues as required
Requirements of the Workshop Controller:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Workshop Controller or in a comparable automotive workshop management role
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities
- Good understanding of workshop processes and vehicle repair procedures
- Ability to maintain high standards of customer service and communication
