We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of Workshop Controller at their reputable automotive dealership in Barking, London. Duties of the Workshop Controller:

  • Planning and controlling workshop loading to optimise productivity and efficiency
  • Allocating work to technicians and monitoring progress throughout each shift
  • Ensuring all workshop processes are completed to the highest standards
  • Managing customer communication and providing regular updates on vehicle repairs
  • Maintaining workshop productivity reports and analysing performance data
  • Supporting technicians and assisting with technical or operational issues as required

Requirements of the Workshop Controller:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Workshop Controller or in a comparable automotive workshop management role
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities
  • Good understanding of workshop processes and vehicle repair procedures
  • Ability to maintain high standards of customer service and communication
