Reporting to: Floor Manager, Assistant Manager, General Manager
Contract: This is a zero-hour employment contract. Your General Manager will discuss this with you during recruitment, such as the hours and days you’d be available to work.

THE ROLE
We are looking for dedicated and personable floor staff to serve our customers to the highest standard and provide a personal and memorable experience to our guests.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Following our 10 Steps of Service to ensure a consistently memorable experience
- Preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Restaurant’s standard drink recipes
- Learning the names and personally recognise our regulars.
- Recording drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the register system
- Washing and sterilising glassware
- Preparing garnishes for drinks and replenish snacks, appetizers for bar patrons
- Maintaining bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages
- Clearing and resetting tables in bar area
- Presenting drink menus, making recommendations and answering questions regarding beverages
- Maintaining cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
- Receiving and serving food orders to guests seated at the bar.
- Reporting all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to restaurant manager
- Assisting in the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
- Being available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor
- Meeting and greeting our guests, making them feel welcome and comfortable
- Actively training floor staff and barbacks by sharing your exceptional cocktail knowledge
- Working as a team player. Team players are the stars of our show!
- Ensuring the bar, and bar area are kept looking pristine
- Helping other areas of the business as requested
What we are looking for
If you meet some but not all the criteria below, we’d still love to hear from you. We understand the value of transferable skills. Our preferences for this role (when reviewing candidates) are that you have some experience in or exposure to, or an interest in providing a show-stopping level of guest service in a high-end hospitality or cinema environment. This will include being open to training, feedback, guidance and doing your best!
- Having working knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes
- The ability to multitask whilst maintaining an eye for detail, commitment and drive
- A passion for hosting and hospitality
- Confident and clear communication skills
- Being punctual, reliable and trustworthy
- Having a genuine passion for food and beverage
