Are you a caring, reliable and compassionate person who enjoys making a genuine difference in people's lives? We are looking to build a team of Personal Assistants to support two friendly and sociable individuals in maintaining their independence and continuing to enjoy life in their own home. This rewarding role involves providing practical day-to-day support tailored to individual needs.

Duties will include:

  • Assisting with personal care
  • Preparing meals
  • Helping with general household tasks such as shopping, laundry and changing bedding
  • Accompanying within the local community, including attending medical appointments, running errands or taking part in social activities
  • Pushing a manual wheelchair

We are looking for people who are kind, patient and dependable, with a positive attitude and a willingness to provide person-centred support. Previous care experience is welcome but not essential, as we value the right attitude and approach just as much as experience. Duties:

  • Eating and drinking assistance
  • Moving and handling
  • Shopping
  • Cooking
  • Support/Assistance with Oral hygiene
  • Assist with pushing manual wheelchair
  • Support with going swimming – must be happy to accompany in the pool
  • Accompanying and assisting employers on shopping trips when required
  • Accompany employers when accessing social and leisure activities, such as going to a restaurant for lunch
  • Accompanying employers to doctors/hospital appointments when required
  • Taking out rubbish – separating rubbish & recycling
  • Laundry, hanging out to dry, ironing, putting away
  • Bed making
  • Housekeeping
  • Dressing/undressing
  • Changing bed linen

  • Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
