About the role as a GCSE English and
Foundation
Teacher: Activate Learning are recruiting an enthusiastic and inspiring Foundation English teacher to work with our Lifeskills Faculty at Banbury College.
This post provides an excellent opportunity for a teacher with passion and drive, who is committed to enabling our students to unlock their potential and switch on to the power of learning.
We welcome applications from qualified and newly qualified teachers.
You will also have responsibilities as a Study Programme Owner, playing a vital role in supporting students by maintaining communication with families and keeping students engaged in their programmes through regular one-to-one meetings.
You will monitor student progress and collaborate closely with subject teachers to ensure they are reaching their full potential.
This is a permanent, part-time position working 29.6 hours per week, Monday, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (0.8 FTE) based at Banbury and Bicester College.
What do you need to be successful as an GCSE English and Foundation Teacher at Activate Learning?
We are looking for people who can act as role models for our students and ensure that they leave us with not just their professional qualifications, but the attributes required to progress in the world of work.
A genuine interest in working with and developing young people is a requirement.
Previous teaching experience in the FE sector would be an advantage, but it is not a requirement.
As long as you have the qualifications or experience to teach on our courses and demonstrate the attributes to be an inspirational teacher, we can provide you with the necessary training, development and support to equip you to teach in the FE sector.
- A level 3 qualification in English or a related subject.
- A teaching qualification.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with learners with EHCP's and who require additional support.
