We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead and coordinate day-to-day warehouse operations. The successful candidate will ensure safe, efficient handling of goods, maintain inventory accuracy, and manage a team to meet operational targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch.
- Supervise and develop warehouse staff, including scheduling, training and performance management.
- Ensure safe operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment; maintain licensing and training records.
- Implement and enforce health & safety procedures and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Maintain accurate inventory control using warehouse management systems and regular cycle counts.
- Monitor and report on KPIs (turnaround times, accuracy, productivity, stock levels) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with transport, procurement and customer service to meet delivery schedules and service levels.
- Oversee maintenance of warehouse facilities, equipment and PPE.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven management experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Valid forklift certification and demonstrable experience in safe forklift operation.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills with experience supervising teams.
- Good understanding of inventory control practices and warehouse management systems.
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment and flexible with shift patterns where required.
- Strong focus on health & safety and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with lean / continuous improvement methodologies.
- Forklift training instructor experience or ability to train staff in forklift operation.
