Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

We are recruiting a Female Assistant Support Worker to join our team at The Elms, a supported living service for people aged 55+ with physical health needs, mental health conditions and learning disabilities. At The Elms, we work together to create a warm, inclusive environment where people feel respected, supported and empowered to live as independently as possible.

The Role

  • Providing person-centred support that makes a real difference, including:
    • Supporting with medication and personal care in a dignified, compassionate way
    • Encouraging daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping and budgeting
    • Supporting residents to achieve personal goals and maintain independence
    • Organising local activities and community outings
    • Following individual support plans and risk assessments
    • Building positive, trusting relationships through collaborative working

Working Pattern

This role operates on a 4-week rolling rota, with a combination of:

  • Early shifts: 8:00am to 4:00pm
  • Late shifts: 2:00pm to 10:00pm
  • Sleep-in shifts - Sleep-in shifts are paid at an enhanced flat rate of £52.78 per shift.

Candidates should be flexible and able to work a varied shift pattern, including sleep-ins, as part of the rota. Experience is not essential, but we ask that you hold a care certificate or are willing to undertake a care qualification.
