I am a visually impaired individual living independently in Hull seeking a warm, reliable, and trustworthy Personal Assistant to help me manage my home and daily nutritional needs. I am looking for someone who can be consistent with a positive presence to help me maintain my independence and quality of life.

Hours of working will be from 5:30pm on a weekday and from 8 or 9am Saturday morning - suitable times can also be arranged.

I am looking for a PA who will provide reliable support across the following areas:

  • Shopping, cooking and planning meals. I will need assistance to the shops, or the PA to shop on my behalf.
  • Preparation of fresh, healthy home-cooked meals (primarily lunch and dinner).
  • Support with household management: cleaning of the house (kitchen, bathroom, living areas, etc.), laundry (washing, drying, folding, and putting away), and general home organization to ensure the environment is safe and easy for me to navigate.
  • Occasional assistance with light administrative tasks, such as sorting and reading essential post/mail, managing documents, and making necessary phone calls.

The best fit for this role will be a warm, patient person, able to approach tasks with empathy, understanding the challenges of vision impairment. You must genuinely enjoy cooking and preparing varied, tasty meals, and be trustworthy: discretion is valued, and honesty is essential.

If you feel you can offer the kind of personal and reliable support I am looking for, please submit your CV and a brief letter telling me a little about yourself and why this specific role appeals to you.
