A Female Personal Assistant is required for a lady in the HU4 area of Hull. She lives with her two children, a girl of 17 and a boy of 15 and the family cat. She needs support to go out of the house to shop and socialise, go to swimming/therapies (including dressing/undressing), attend church and appointments. She also enjoys gardening and the outdoors. She uses a powered wheelchair but can transfer herself.
A car driver with a clean license is preferred for her mobility vehicle as she particularly needs support to get to appointments and shopping and cannot rely on public transport. Appointment will be made subject to a successful DBS check.
There is a genuine occupational requirement for a FEMALE worker, and therefore only applications from FEMALES will be considered. Exempt under the Equality Act 2010 (Schedule 9, Part 1).
Owing to the nature of this position, any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory checking report from the Disclosure and Barring Service, the cost of which will be met by the local authority/employer.
