Location: Burnaston, Derby (BCA Workshop)

Pay: £14.55 per hour (Days) | £18.92 per hour (Nights)

Shifts:

  • Days: 07:00 - 15:30
  • Nights: 18:00 - 02:30

This is not a rotating shift pattern; it is mainly the day shift, however, flexibility to work either shift is required to meet business needs.

Gi Group is recruiting Automotive Assembly Operatives to work with British Car Auctions (BCA) at their modern workshop in Burnaston. This is an exciting opportunity to work on brand-new vehicles, carrying out specification upgrades and quality modifications before they are delivered to dealerships. No previous automotive experience is required - full training will be provided.

What You'll Be Doing as an Automotive Assembly Operative:

  • Installing and fitting vehicle components and accessories
  • Modifying brand-new vehicles to customer specifications
  • Using hand tools and specialist equipment
  • Connecting diagnostic equipment and monitoring vehicle software updates
  • Carrying out quality checks to ensure work meets the highest standards
  • Following standard operating procedures and health & safety guidelines
  • Manual handling of vehicle parts where required

What We're Looking For:

  • Full UK driving licence held for at least 24 months
  • No more than 6 penalty points
  • Applicants must be aged 22 or over due to the company's vehicle insurance policy
  • Reliable with excellent timekeeping
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous assembly, manufacturing or automotive experience is beneficial but not essential
