Assistant Technical Officer- Stores and Distribution
At UHNM the Pharmacy Directorate is a modern, purpose-built pharmacy department working across both sites.
We constantly strive to re-engineer our services to improve our delivery of patient focused pharmaceutical care.
You will support the supply of medicines, including liaising with wards and departments and external customers.
It is necessary to liaise with internal stakeholders to support the timely supply of medicines and processing of orders.
We are looking for someone who is able to show initiative; is helpful and approachable; organised and can work accurately; good IT skills, problem solving and communication skills.
It is a requirement to be able to demonstrate working unsupervised to the required deadline.
You will have previous experience in a similar environment, with a willingness to work in other areas within pharmacy.
You will be responsible for the processing of ward orders and external stock requisitions for the delivery of medicines.
You will be required to liaise with clinical teams, ward staff and external customers to resolve queries and to ensure patients receive their medicines in a timely manner.
The Pharmacy Department provide medicines management and medicines optimisation services from both sites.
We have implemented a 7 day working service delivering high quality pharmaceutical care to the patients of this Trust 7 days a week.

You will have the ability to work as a team member and to work on own initiative, completing allocated work and ensuring rotas are complied with.
