We would like to welcome new workers to work within our care home, who have experience and are willing to update their knowledge to the required level for an assistant social care worker on shift. We would welcome people who are returning to the care sector.

The post is set within a care home on the Isle of Islay. We provide a vital service to the local community and to carers, providing quality care and support needs to our ageing population as well as respite care. This post would entail working night shifts within the care home. The opportunity to develop and train into new roles within the care home is encouraged and welcomed.

Experience of working within the health and/or social care is essential, along with a willingness to learn and develop within this sector. SVQ 2 (Health & Social Care) would be ideal, and/or a willingness to gain these qualifications will be considered.
