This is an exciting opportunity to join the Lambeth Crisis Plus service, as an Assistant Psychologist within Lambeth Adult Mental Health Services. This project works across adult community services in the Lambeth directorate, offering targeted support to individuals who have frequent psychiatric admissions and use of crisis services.
Responsibilities
- Lead on the co‑creation of effective multi‑agency crisis plans with high‑use service users and their care teams under the supervision of a qualified psychologist.
- Support the delivery of time‑limited interventions to service users, carers and a range of mental health professionals to develop Anticipatory Management Plans.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of service users’ developmental histories, patterns of presentation and use of crisis services using clinical documentation and consultation.
- Develop and use psychological skills including assessment, formulation and a systemically‑focused approach.
- Participate in MDT meetings, ward rounds and contribute to multi‑disciplinary clinical discussion.
- Collect, analyse and interpret qualitative and quantitative outcome data from service users and the network of professionals, and maintain databases linked to the identification of HIU cases.
- Act as liaison with services to refine and implement crisis plans, supporting the action of plans across the Lambeth area.
- Contribute to the development of new interventions that proactively engage service users.
- Support wider work in Lambeth and the trust related to HIUs.
