Assistant Medical Secretary | The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust

Team QEH have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to join our Medical Secretariat Team.

We are looking for an Assistant Medical Secretary to provide secretarial assistance to PA's, Senior Medical Secretaries and Consultants.

This position is a trainee post and there is potential for progression within the Secretariat.

Previous secretarial experience is desirable but not essential for this post.

As part of yourrole you will liaise with other colleagues in the team to contribute to the smooth running of the department.

You will need to be well organised and able to deal with the public efficiently and politely.

Previous typing/word processing skills are desirable for this post although not essential, the desire to learn audio typing and medical terminology would be advantageous .

As a key aspect of this role you willneed to be able to use the Patient Centre information system in accordance with Trust procedures in a timely way to assist in co-ordination of care pathways (training will be given).

As the successful candidate you will be required to work to a very high standard.
