To complete an apprenticeship course, enabling the post holder to develop competencies required to provide in house painting and decorating works across Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust premises. The role will be based covering all north sites or all south sites as part of a team and will involve working alongside other trade groups.
To be responsible for the external and internal appearance of a building and its protection from water, rust, corrosion, mould, and insect infestation. To work professionally and interactively with the service areas in order to provide good quality services and satisfaction. To work internally and externally in very diverse environments in all weather conditions.
To offer a range of services, from interpreting service area requirements to the environmental and sustainability of materials/drawings, advising on designs/colours, painting, spraying, decorative coatings, wallpapering, gilding, and sign writing to a high standard.
Carry out planned and reactive painting and decorating works across all Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust premises, ensuring a high-quality finish appropriate to healthcare environments. Undertake internal and external painting and decorating works, including plastering, surface preparation, application of primers, undercoats, topcoats, and specialist healthcare paint systems in line with manufacturer specifications and Trust standards.
Apply a range of wall finishes including emulsion, gloss, specialist coatings, protective finishes, and wall coverings where required. Prepare surfaces by washing down, sanding, filling, sealing, patch repairs, and making good to ensure durable and professional finishes to meet project requirements. Complete plastering works to a high standard.
