The Role: As a Manufacturing Operative, you will play a vital part in producing and processing high quality glass products. You will support production targets, uphold quality standards, and maintain a safe, efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating Machinery: Operate machinery used for cutting, shaping, and processing glass, following all safety and operational guidance.
- Handling and Processing Glass: Safely load and unload glass components, taking care to avoid damage.
- Quality Control: Check finished products for cracks, chips, or imperfections and report concerns promptly.
- Assembly and Packaging: Assist in assembling glass units (e.g., double glazing) and prepare them for transportation or onward production.
- Safety and Maintenance: Comply with health and safety regulations, complete basic equipment checks, and report faults.
- Material Handling: Move and organise raw materials to support continuous production flow.
- General Production Support: Maintain cleanliness, meet production targets, and support various team tasks.
Essential Criteria:
- Hardworking, dedicated, and passionate about joining the Clayton team.
- Team oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
- Able to follow instructions accurately.
- Punctual, reliable, and committed to your shift hours.
- Good manual dexterity, hand eye coordination, and physical fitness (lifting and standing involved).

- Previous experience in manufacturing or factory environments.
