Duties as Art, DT and Food Technician:

  • Preparing materials, equipment, and resources for Art, DT, and Food lessons
  • Supporting teachers during practical activities and demonstrations
  • Maintaining workshops, classrooms, and food preparation areas
  • Ensuring equipment is stored safely and maintained appropriately
  • Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies
  • Maintaining health and safety standards across all departments
  • Supporting students during practical learning activities where required

Ideal Art, DT and Food Technician:

  • Previous experience working as a technician, workshop assistant, or within a practical educational setting
  • Knowledge of Art, Design Technology, Food Technology, or catering environments
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Understanding of health and safety requirements in practical subjects
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
