- We are seeking a motivated and organised
Clerical Officer (Band 2) to provide administrative support to our School Nursing Team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong administrative skills who enjoys working in a busy healthcare environment and making a positive contribution to children's health services across the community.
Based at
St Luke's Hospital Site, Armagh , the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the
Healthy Child, Healthy Future Programme , including the Regional Immunisation Programme and Regional Paediatric Flu Programme.
Key Responsibilities
The post holder will
- Provide administrative support to the School Nursing Team and Team Manager.
- Prepare information packs and envelopes for distribution to pupils in schools.
- Deliver and collect correspondence from schools across the service area.
- Contact GP surgeries and parents to obtain updates on vaccination histories.
- Type correspondence, reports and other documentation.
- Maintain filing systems, photocopy documents and undertake general office duties.
- Manage telephone enquiries, diaries, meetings and appointments.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail in accordance with established procedures.
- Order and monitor office supplies and stores.
- Input and retrieve information from computerised systems, including the Child Health System.
- Provide clerical cover across Trust services as required.
- Undertake other duties appropriate to the role and grade.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must meet one of the following
- 3 GCSEs (Grades A-C), including English Language (or equivalent/higher qualification), and 1 year's experience in a clerical/administrative role;
- 2 years' experience in a clerical/administrative role.
Experience
- Experience using Microsoft Word or equivalent software.
- Driving Requirement
- Hold a current full driving licence valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment.
