An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Pathology Division at University College London Hospital NHS Foundation Trust for a Cellular Pathology Archive Coordinator. We are seeking an enthusiastic and bright individual to work in a busy, multi-disciplinary team to support the Pathology Division in service delivery.
The purpose of the job is to coordinate the smooth running of the UCLH Cellular Pathology archive which comprises histological slides, reports and blocks and cytological slides and reports. The Archive Coordinator will actively manage the administrative processes for material requests ensuring histology slides/blocks are filed/retrieved, ensuring a smooth and efficient service for both the multidisciplinary team and patients, to deliver a high-quality administration service, a positive patient experience, and excellent customer service.
Main duties include:
- Maintaining the integrity of the archive by filing histological and cytological slides and paraffin blocks.
- Providing support for multidisciplinary meetings by retrieving slides, producing copy reports and submitting these to the relevant pathologists in time for presentation.
- Providing supervision and support to team members.
- Supporting the day-to-day coordination of Archive Clerks and archive activities, ensuring workloads are prioritised and service requirements are met.
