Are you ready for an exciting new challenge? We have an opportunity for motivated, reliable and enthusiastic individuals to work as part of a team at Annan Swimming Pool. You will be required to work 18.5 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year.

You will carry out general leisure attendant duties ensuring customer safety at all times, lifeguarding, communicating effectively with members of the public and other staff, undertaking cleaning duties and setting up and dismantling of sports equipment.

Experience of working with the general public, children and customer care is essential and ideally you will have experience of working in swimming pools. Ideally you will possess a current RLSS Lifeguarding qualification and ideally possess a First Aid Certificate but training can be given. Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation is desirable.

You will be required to attend regular staff training sessions as part of the requirement of this post. The post will include shift work including evenings and weekends.

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council. Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident.
