Are you a registered nurse with a passion for clinical research and improving the lives of people affected by dementia? Would you like to be part of a national initiative transforming dementia research across the UK? We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Research Nurse to join the internationally renowned Dementia Research Centre (DRC) Clinical Trials Team at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH).

This post is funded through the Alzheimer's Society UK Dementia Trials Network (UKDTN) Research Nurse Programme, designed to build research capacity and accelerate access to innovative dementia treatments. This is an exciting time to join our team as we continue to expand our portfolio of commercial and academic clinical trials, including early-phase, first-in-human and disease-modifying therapies.

Working alongside experienced clinicians, researchers and specialist research nurses, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality research and providing excellent care for people living with dementia and their families. We are looking for a compassionate, organised and proactive registered nurse with excellent communication and clinical skills who enjoys working in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment and is committed to improving the future of dementia care through research.

As a Research Nurse, you will coordinate and deliver a portfolio of commercial and non-commercial dementia clinical trials, ensuring the highest standards of participant safety, clinical care and research governance. You will undertake clinical assessments, obtain informed consent, perform protocol-specific procedures, administer investigational medicinal products where appropriate, collect high-quality research data and monitor participant safety throughout the trial journey.

Working closely with Principal Investigators, multidisciplinary teams, sponsors and external partners, you will ensure studies are delivered in accordance with study protocols, ICH-GCP and regulatory requirements. You will also contribute to participant recruitment, support study set-up activities, mentor junior members of the research team and help provide an outstanding experience for research participants and their study partners while supporting the continued growth of dementia research within UCLH and the UK Dementia Trials Network.
