We are working with an established multi-sector construction company based in Alloa that is looking to appoint an experienced Contract Manager to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded construction professional who enjoys managing projects from start to finish and building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and project teams.
The Role: As Contract Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of a portfolio of construction projects across a range of sectors. You will oversee projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme, to a high standard and within agreed commercial parameters.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing multiple construction contracts and projects simultaneously
- Leading and supporting project teams to achieve successful project delivery
- Managing budgets, costs, variations and commercial performance
- Working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
- Monitoring programmes, progress and project performance
- Managing contractual obligations, changes and claims
- Ensuring health, safety, quality and environmental standards are maintained
- Identifying and managing commercial and operational risks
- Providing regular project and commercial reports to senior management
- Building and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships
About You: We are looking for someone with solid experience in a Contract Manager, Senior Contracts Manager or similar construction management position. You will ideally have:
- Proven experience managing construction contracts from inception to completion
- Strong commercial and contractual understanding
- Experience working across multiple construction sectors or project types
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong leadership and organisational abilities
- The confidence to manage clients, subcontractors and internal teams
- A proactive approach to problem solving and project delivery
- Relevant construction qualifications, such as an HNC/HND, degree or equivalent experience
