We are seeking an ambitious and experienced CQC Registered Manager to lead our newly developed Supported Living services in Hampshire. This is an exciting opportunity to establish and shape new services from the ground up while playing a key role in the future growth of CareTech's Supported Living provision across the region.
As a locality and Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for service quality, operational performance, regulatory compliance, workforce leadership and commercial success, ensuring individuals receive safe, effective and outcome-focused support that enables them to thrive.
About the Service
Our first flagship Supported Living service in Aldershot has been purpose-built to support adults with mental health needs and provide an environment that promotes independence, wellbeing and community inclusion. The service features:
- 14 modern, fully self-contained apartments
- Purpose-designed accommodation that supports independent living
- Excellent staff facilities, including a manager's office, kitchen, outdoor space and staff rest areas
- Convenient access to GP services, Community Mental Health Teams, employment opportunities and social activities
- Walking-distance access to local amenities, parks and transport links
Each person supported will hold their own tenancy agreement, enjoy exclusive use of their apartment and receive individually tailored support separate from their housing provision. This development marks the beginning of an exciting growth journey. Additional Supported Living opportunities have already been identified across Hampshire, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to help expand CareTech's services for individuals with mental health needs, learning disabilities and autism.
The Role
As a locality and Registered Manager, you will lead the service across three key areas:
- Quality & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations, legislation and best practice standards
- Drive a culture of continuous quality improvement
- Lead audits, inspections and quality assurance processes
- Develop and implement service improvement plans
- Ensure support is safe, effective, person-centred and outcome-focused
- Oversee safeguarding, risk management and governance processes
- Leadership & People
- Recruit, lead and develop a high-performing staff team
- Create a positive, inclusive and values-led culture
- Oversee induction, supervision, performance management and staff development
- Coach and motivate colleagues to deliver exceptional support
- Promote employee wellbeing, engagement and retention
- Build strong relationships with people we support, families, professionals and commissioners
- Commercial & Service Growth
- Manage budgets and financial performance effectively
- Monitor occupancy levels and service sustainability
- Analyse KPI data and implement actions to improve performance
- Support local business development and stakeholder engagement activities
- Contribute to the strategic growth of CareTech's Supported Living services across Hampshire
- Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and create positive outcomes
About You
We are looking for a passionate and motivated leader who is committed to delivering outstanding support and making a genuine difference in people's lives.
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager within adult social care
- Experience supporting individuals with mental health needs, learning disabilities and/or autism
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
- Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations and quality standards
- Proven experience managing and developing successful teams
