As an Aircraft Ramp Agent, you would be a crucial component to the success of the airport operations.
Your tasks would involve loading and unloading aircraft's in all types of weather.
As an Aircraft Ramp Agent your duties include processing time-sensitive materials for pick-up, transit, and delivery as well as sorting, loading, unloading, and material handling.

Hours: Monday to Friday - starting between 19:00 and 2100 and finishing as late as 05:30
Shift pattern: Monday to Friday 2100 - 0530, 4 on 4 off nights or regular Saturday and Sunday 2100 - 0530

Responsibilities for Aircraft Ramp Agent
- Safely lift, load, unload and transport mail and cargo from the aircraft to the building (working at heights)
- Perform sort, load, and unload activities and move material with speed and accuracy according to established procedures to meet deadlines for business necessity.
- Protect cargo and other equipment from damage, loss and weather conditions.
- Drive and operate ground equipment, such as tugs, cargo carts, service trucks and belt loaders.
- Assist with record keeping and documentation to ensure correct routing of cargo.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain safe working conditions for yourself and others.
- Communicate with managers and lead agents to manage daily schedules.
- Report equipment problems and breakdowns to facilitate fast repairs.
Qualifications for Aircraft Ramp Agent
- Able to work in extreme conditions, such as hot and cold weather, as well as small spaces.
- Experience of working on a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop and climb stairs/ladders working at heights.
- Familiarity with basic computer programs to assist with cargo's record keeping.
- Possess a valid driver's license and no points.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to help achieve team goals.
- Being able willing to work unsocial shifts.
- Adaptability to changing priorities and time management skills.
- Pass a Medical assessment and be able to pass a drug screen.
- Physically fit and able to lift 25kg unaided.
- Confident at working at heights.
- 5 year Background and Security check pass.
- Be willing to apply for a DBS Check (Paid for by us!).
- Be willing to attend an Aviation Cargo Operative Course (Paid for by us!).
