A lovely family based in Shepherd’s Bush, London, is seeking an Afterschool Nanny to care for their two school-aged children. The ideal candidate will speak fluent English, and Italian would be a bonus. Someone reliable, organised, proactive, and confident who can support school-aged children with their after-school routine would be ideal for this role.
The nanny will be responsible for:
- School pick-ups
- Helping with homework
- Preparing after-school snacks and evening meals for the children
- Supporting their daily routine
- Light housekeeping related to the children
- Organising their belongings
- Occasional babysitting
The school is around a 15 to 20-minute walk from the home, and pick-up will usually be around 15:30 to 16:30, depending on the children’s clubs. The family has a friendly Beagle mix, so someone dog-friendly and happy to help with occasional walks would be ideal. A driver is not required for this role. A valid first aid certification is required for this role.
Working hours:
- During school term: Tuesday to Thursday, 13:30 to 18:30
- During school holidays: Monday to Thursday, 9:00 to 18:30
Duties include:
- Caring for two children, aged 5 and 8 years old
- Picking the children up from school
- Walking 15 to 20 minutes from school to home
- Supporting the children’s after-school routine
- Helping with homework
- Supporting the children’s educational growth
- Ensuring the children’s safety, well-being, and development
- Preparing after-school snacks
- Cooking evening meals and dinners for the children
- Helping with family cooking when required
- Organising the children’s belongings
- Carrying out light housekeeping duties related to the children
- Maintaining consistent daily routines
- Providing occasional babysitting
- Helping with occasional dog walks
