A lovely family based in Tooting Bec, London is seeking an experienced Afterschool Nanny to care for their two children, aged 6 and 8 years old.
The ideal candidate will speak fluent English and be warm, reliable, fun, and fair. The successful nanny will be confident supporting school-aged children with their daily routines, homework, activities, and afterschool needs. The school and afterschool clubs are all within walking distance.
The children usually attend afterschool clubs until around 5:00 pm, so the nanny will also assist with child-related housekeeping and meal preparation before collecting or caring for the children. The family has a dog who attends daycare and is usually dropped back at the home between 4:00 and 4:30 pm.
A valid first aid certification is required for this role.
Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with babysitting ideally required on Wednesday evenings, for a total of 20 hours per week.
Duties include:
- providing full afterschool care for two children aged 6 and 8
- collecting the children from school and afterschool clubs
- supporting the children's daily routines
- helping with homework and educational activities
- organising fun and age-appropriate activities
- preparing healthy, basic meals for the children and ideally the parents
- carrying out child-related housekeeping duties
- keeping the children's bedrooms and play areas tidy
- assisting with meal preparation
- welcoming the family dog home from daycare when required
- providing a fun, fair, and supportive environment for the children
The family is looking for someone who can start in September 2026.
