Hybrid - in office five days a week in the duty week, two to three days in office in the other weeks.
The role involves taking cases from referral all the way to completion at closure, or through CIN, CP and Care Proceedings if necessary with no change of Social Worker.
The office base is in Grantham, there is free parking on site. We cover the whole of South Kesteven West District, which encompasses both Grantham and a large rural area.
We have three supervision groups and work one week on/two weeks off in terms of duty.
Will be responsible for completing assessments of children and their families where safeguarding concerns have been shared. Responsible for supporting children who are subject to child protection and Child in Need Plans as well as compiling assessments and reports for court within private and public law proceedings.
The team operate on a four weekly duty system with one week being on duty and allocated new cases and two being off duty. On duty weeks there is an expectation workers are office based five days of that week and need to be available to pick up new cases and carry out initial visits.
Experience and training in completing section 47 investigations is required for the role.
