The Manchester Speech and Language Therapy Service is committed to providing a high-quality service to children and families across the city of Manchester. We are looking for an experienced Administrator to join the Sure Start Team. You will play a vital role supporting therapists.

Duties will include:

  • Coordinating training
  • Referral management
  • Typing
  • Supporting clinicians in managing patient groups
  • Liaising with clinicians/professionals across other services
  • Activity reporting to commissioners

This is an opening for an enthusiastic and confident individual who enjoys communicating with others and utilising their excellent organisation and administrative skills. We are looking for someone with a positive, can-do attitude, who is team focused and wants to learn and get involved. You will need to have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and very good IT skills.

The main base for this role is Wythenshawe Offices, 1 Stancliffe Road, Wythenshawe, Manchester, M22 4PJ. However, you will be required to visit other bases across the city to support the Sure Start team’s events and activities.

Main Tasks/Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for Patient Care
  • To deal with enquiries from parents, carers, schools, therapists, health and education professionals relating to the Communication and Language pathway service.
  • To deal with Sure Start specific training, projects and extensive reporting processes.
