Working Pattern
- Monday to Friday with flexible shift patterns
- Term time only
Equated pay (sometimes known as spread-over pay) is a method of paying you for your contracted hours, working weeks and holiday pay spread over 12 months instead of just receiving pay during the months that you work and none during the school closures/non-working weeks.
This means that you get paid equal amounts of pay every month.

About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and organised Admin Assistant to join our team at George Watson's College.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in administration while gaining experience across finance, marketing, and business support within a professional educational environment.
Working as part of the Sodexo team, you will provide high-quality administrative support, assist with marketing activities, and help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of college operations.
What You'll Do
- Providing general administrative support, including email management, document preparation, filing, and meeting coordination.
- Supporting finance administration through data entry, invoice processing, maintaining spreadsheets, and record management.
- Assisting with the creation and distribution of marketing materials, social media content, and promotional campaigns.
- Supporting colleagues with day-to-day operational and administrative tasks.
- Using Microsoft Excel, Teams, Power Point, and social media platforms to complete a variety of tasks.
- Communicating professionally with staff, students, parents, prospective students, and external suppliers when required.
- Deliver accurate and timely administrative and finance support.
- Produce engaging marketing and social media content that promotes the College.
- Maintain accurate records, spreadsheets, and documentation.
- Build positive relationships by providing professional and responsive support to staff, students, parents, and external stakeholders
What You’ll Bring
We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised, and eager to learn.
You'll enjoy working in a busy environment, managing a variety of tasks, and delivering excellent support to colleagues and stakeholders.
You will ideally have
- Previous experience in administration, customer service, marketing, or an office environment (desirable but not essential).
- Experience creating social media content or promotional materials (beneficial but not essential).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Teams, and Power Point.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A positive, professional attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
- A creative approach to marketing and content creation.
