The Opportunity

Thompson & Terry Recruitment are delighted to be working with a well-established, independent service-led business who are looking to recruit a professional Administrator to join their team based in Didcot. As Administrator, you will provide vital support across a busy office environment, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of administrative processes while serving as a professional and empathetic point of contact for clients, visitors and external organisations.

The successful Administrator will be responsible for managing incoming calls, emails and correspondence, maintaining accurate records and filing systems, processing invoices and financial documentation, and supporting the use of Xero. You will also coordinate bookings and arrangements with a variety of external organisations, assist clients with important documentation, prepare service-related materials and provide wider administrative support to the team as required.

This position would suit an organised and detail-oriented Administrator who enjoys supporting people, thrives in a varied role and can handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion. The role offers the opportunity to become an integral part of a close-knit team where strong communication skills, reliability and a proactive approach are highly valued.

Requirements

  • Previous administration experience within a professional office environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with clients and third parties in a professional manner.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and in line with GDPR requirements.
  • Comfortable using office systems and software; experience of Xero would be beneficial, although training can be provided.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage a varied workload effectively.
