A

To provide ICT, Science and AV support to all Departments, members of staff, pupils and other stakeholders in the school.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake specialised Science and ICT/AV tasks.
  • Ensure Health and Safety.
  • Provision and organisation of materials and equipment
  • Provide and/or attend in-service training/CPD.
  • Stock and Supplies Responsibilities

The Individual

  • Expertise in a minimum of one of the areas of Science / ICT /Technical /AV
  • Direct experience of working in a school in a technical capacity
  • Qualified to HNC level in a Technical subject; Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent as demonstrated by experience in this field
  • Working knowledge of software applications including word, excel and general internet access
  • Flexible approach to work and willingness to learn
  • A commitment to ensure that appropriate health and safety standards are met
  • Evidence of an ability to prioritise work tasks for self
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • An ability to communicate technical issues to all within the school environment

This post is considered to be a ‘Regulated Role’ under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. Under the Act it is a legal requirement for an individual undertaking a regulated role with children or protected adults to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme.

Therefore the successful candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to any formal offer of employment being made by Moray Council.
