Smart Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client for a 360 Grab Driver to join their busy waste and recycling facility in Irlam.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a 360 grab excavator to safely transfer loose materials onto the sorting line, ensuring a consistent flow of material so that the processing operation runs efficiently.
Safety is at the heart of this role, and you will work closely with site operatives, maintaining regular communication via radio.
Waste industry experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a 360 grab excavator safely and efficiently.
- Feed material onto the sorting line while maintaining an even flow.
- Monitor material distribution to maximise sorting efficiency.
- Carry out daily checks on plant equipment and report any defects.
- Maintain radio communication with site colleagues throughout the shift.
- Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures.
- Assist with general site duties when required.
