As a Probation Prison Offender Manager (POM), you will work with some of the most complex and high-risk individuals in custody, helping to protect the public while supporting rehabilitation and successful resettlement. You will manage a caseload of prisoners assessed as presenting a high or very high risk of serious harm, leading on offender management activity throughout their custodial sentence.
Working as part of the Offender Management in Custody (OMiC) model, you will build professional relationships with prisoners, complete risk assessments, develop sentence plans, and coordinate interventions that address offending behaviour and support progression through custody. You will work closely with prison staff, psychologists, key workers, community probation practitioners, and partner agencies to ensure that risk is managed effectively and that release planning promotes safer communities.

Key Responsibilities:
- -Manage a caseload of high and very high-risk prisoners.
- -Complete and review risk assessments, public protection screening, and sentence plans.
- -Engage directly with prisoners to support rehabilitation, progression, and release preparation.
- -Prepare reports for parole, release, and other sentence management decisions.
- -Work collaboratively with prison, probation, and partner agencies to manage risk and support successful resettlement.
- -Contribute to public protection by identifying, assessing, and responding to risks of serious harm.
