20838 - Personality Disorder Probation Officer (PDPO): London Probation Service

This is a dual workplace role.

The post holder will be required to work across more than one location within their allocated cluster.

Travel between locations will be required in line with business need.

Staff are expected to attend all four allocated PDU locations, typically working from a different office each day per week, with one day per week working from home, subject to business need.

  • Offering individual and group consultations, writing formulations and developing pathway plans for cases that screen into OPD and recording this in line with current guidance.

Flexibility on whether PDPO delivers group consultation.

  • Delivering CORE-OM joint case work as required
  • Attending MAPPA as required for cases that screen in.
  • Delivering training including the OPD induction for OPD staff, Personality disorder Awareness Training (PAT) to probation staff
  • Promoting the OPD pathway and services offered within PDUs including via attending managers meetings

This role includes aspects that differ from the generic probation officer job description, such as PDPO staff completing Joint Case Work (JCW).

Please note that any candidates placed on the merit list following recruitment may be considered for future PDPO vacancies across the London region, which could be based at different locations.

The successful postholder will be required to undergo and pass NPPV Level 2 vetting as a requirement for this role.

NPPV Level 2 vetting process will be initiated upon acceptance of the provisional offer.
