The Governors of Moorfield Primary School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant primary school and share our vision for providing a first-class education and instilling all our children with a love of learning. The governors are willing to consider an unqualified candidate who is willing to undertake the qualification via an apprenticeship route.

Responsibilities
- Support and uphold the school’s vision and values
- Help children of all abilities, including those with special educational needs, to learn as effectively and independently as possible, both individually and in small groups
- Prepare materials and resources to support individuals, small groups and classroom activities
- Work with children on individual targets in reading, writing and maths
- Support children’s emotional development and resilience when approaching learning tasks
- Support children’s behaviour in line with the school’s vision, values and positive behaviour policy
- Assist with children in the playground as required and to support lunchtime provision
- Have an awareness of and adherence to all school safeguarding procedures and participate in training as appropriate
- Hold the certificate or be willing to undertake first aid at work / paediatric first aid training
- Be willing to undertake the relevant training to support a child with Type 1 diabetes
