We are seeking a reliable and organised Kitchen Porter to support the delivery of our new school catering contract.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a school environment, takes pride in food safety standards, and can work independently.
The role involves contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen, distribute food efficiently and to a high standard. Key responsibilities include food service, maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness standards, and supporting stock ordering and inventory management to ensure the kitchen remains fully stocked and operational. Once service is finished the candidate will then move onto cleaning duties.
Equally, the focus of the role will be to contribute to a safe, organised, and welcoming environment while supporting the delivery of quality food service and maintaining compliance with food safety procedures.
The successful candidate will have experience working in a kitchen or catering environment, understand food hygiene practices, and serving/distribution of food. They will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of health and safety requirements, effective time management, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
