We are seeking a reliable and organised Kitchen Assistant / School Catering Assistant to support the delivery of our new school catering contract. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a school environment, takes pride in food safety standards, and can work independently.
The role involves contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring food is prepared, presented, and distributed efficiently and to a high standard. Key responsibilities include:
- Food preparation and service
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Supporting stock ordering and inventory management to ensure the kitchen remains fully stocked and operational
Equally, the focus of the role will be to contribute to a safe, organised, and welcoming environment while supporting the delivery of quality food service and maintaining compliance with food safety procedures.
The successful candidate will have experience working in a kitchen or catering environment, including stock ordering and inventory management, food hygiene practices, and serving/distribution of food. They will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of health and safety requirements, effective time management, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
