The Heath School are seeking a dedicated and proactive Pastoral Support Manager to join our pastoral team. This is a key role within the school, focused on promoting positive behaviour, improving attendance, and supporting the wellbeing and engagement of students.
As a Pastoral Support Manager, you will work closely with students, families, teaching staff, and senior leaders to provide high-quality pastoral care and targeted interventions. You will play a vital role in identifying early concerns, supporting behaviour and attendance improvement, and ensuring students receive the right support at the right time.
About You
- Have experience working with young people in an educational, pastoral, youth work, social care, or related setting.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Be skilled in managing challenging situations with professionalism, empathy, and consistency.
- Have a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
- Be able to work effectively with families, external agencies, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Possess strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Be committed to promoting equality, diversity, inclusion, and student wellbeing.
