The role
The Technical Department at AllSaints is responsible for the fit and quality of all AllSaints products. We work closely with Design to execute their creative vision while maintaining the quality and consistency of AllSaints’ products, ensuring the brand remains an iconic and high quality label. As an experienced Garment Technologist you will report to the Head of Technical, while building strong relationships with Design, PD, Buying, Pattern Room Teams and Vendors to maintain high quality and on-brand products. You should come from a multi-product background with experience working on Leather Garments preferred and have a passion for all things technical when it comes to creating good quality garments. AllSaints values collaboration and teamwork.
What will I be doing?
- Working closely with the Senior Technologists and reporting directly to the Technical Manager
- Provide and present data reports so team and vendor performance can be monitored and improved
- Hold weekly team meetings to ensure CP deadlines are on track and business objectives are met
- Manage the Production Sealing Tracker and ensure sealing deadline targets are met in line with CP
- Guarantee fit consistency across the collection and ensure garment quality meets AllSaints standards
- Manage the block development process and keep the Block Library up to date
- Support Design and Development Teams to achieve AllSaints aesthetics
- Organise and manage fit meetings with all relevant teams
- Ensure tech packs are updated with fit comments, specs and vendors informed in line with CP
- Collaborate with the Technical team to produce high quality, uniform garments across categories to reduce faulty returns
- Manage RISK assessment of product with Product Development, Production Teams and Vendors
- Monitor and advise on safe operating standards in manufacturing
- Ensure digital technology is embraced (3D fittings, VC Fit meetings)
What skills do I need?
- Solid multi-product technical background with experience in Leather Garments preferred
- Strong garment construction knowledge, pattern amendments and production requirements
- Experience in a commercial and design environment
- Understanding of garment grading and vertical retail
- Clear understanding of AllSaints design aesthetic
- Creative and analytical approach to maintain AllSaints as an iconic, high-quality brand
- Team player who collaborates, directs and develops others
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Attention to detail in a fast-paced role
- Advanced to intermediate MS Office skills
