THE ROLE

The Merchandising Manager is responsible for leading the Channel Merchandising division, developing and implementing strategies to maximise sales and profitability across all channels. This role involves overseeing store planning, pre-allocations, and inventory management, while also managing and developing a team of merchandisers.

  • Lead the Channel Merchandising team in their ownership of store planning strategy and in-season trading.
  • Plan, strategise and monitor inventory levels at regional, channel, and store levels to ensure optimisation of our global stock position.
  • Drive data insights into regional and channel performance, providing recommendations on both risk and opportunity.
  • Oversee the allocation planning of inventory to retail stores, optimising stock levels to meet regional demands and maximise sell-through.
  • Provide a dynamic approach to satisfy both full-price and outlet distribution, owning the global trading calendar.
  • Work closely with Retail to manage store capacities whilst ensuring credible stock depth and maintaining assortment vision.
  • Guide the team in stock consolidations, event-led stock builds and new store packages.
  • Lead our markdown strategy to deliver planned terminal stock and margin targets, utilising internal and external sale events; present recommendations to leadership.
  • Collaborate and build relationships with key stakeholders from buying, finance, logistics, retail and digital.
  • Lead, manage, and develop the merchandising team, providing guidance, training, and support.

  • Proven experience as a Merchandising Manager or Senior Merchandiser in Fashion Retail with a strong track record of delivering results.
  • Extensive knowledge of merchandising principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to analyse complex data, identify trends, and make strategic decisions.
  • Exceptional Leadership & Team Development: You are a natural leader who inspires and motivates. You have proven experience in developing your team members to achieve their full potential, creating a positive and high-performing environment.

  • Proven experience as a Merchandising Manager or Senior Merchandiser in the Fashion Retail industry, ideally within a global trading environment, with a strong track record of delivering results.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to analyse complex data, identify trends, and make strategic decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic AllSaints environment; excellent organisational skills.
