THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Solution Architect to lead the technology landscape across our Digital and Retail customer channels. You’ll design end‑to‑end solutions spanning eCommerce, mobile app, retail stores, customer data, OMS, and integrations. You’ll work closely with Product, Delivery, Engineering, and business stakeholders to define the customer technology strategy and ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and fit for a fast‑paced retail environment. Our ecosystem includes Salesforce Commerce Cloud, NewStore for mobile app and mPOS, GCP‑based microservices/OMS, Boomi integrations, and BigQuery/Looker. We operate across B2C, B2B, marketplace, dropship, and concessions, so strong multi‑channel understanding is important.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING

  • Own solution architecture for customer‑facing systems across Digital, Retail, and Customer Data strip clear solution designs, integration patterns, and architectural documentation.
  • Work with teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high‑quality solutions.
  • Support the evaluation of future platform options and architectural evolution.
  • Collaborate with distributed engineering teams (India & Poland) and London business teams.
  • Ensure seamless customer journeys across web, app, stores, fulfilment, and service.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and guide technical decision‑making.

WHAT KIND OF SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS DO I NEED?

  • Experience as a Solution Architect in retail or eCommerce environments.
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms and omnichannel ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with mobile app and POS/mPOS platforms.
  • Knowledge of customer/CRM/marketing technologies.
  • Strong grounding in cloud‑native architecture (ideally GCP), microservices, APIs, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with integration platforms (e.g., Boomi).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Comfortable working in agile, distributed teams.
  • Experience with analytics platforms (BigQuery, Looker).
  • Knowledge of event‑driven architecture.
  • Experience with multi‑brand or international retail.
