The Junior Merchandiser supports the merchandising team in delivering planned sales and profitability by assisting in category management, allocation planning, and sales analysis. This role contributes to optimizing stock levels and maximizing sell-through.

What you’ll be doing (key responsibilities)

  • Assist in delivering the planned sales and profitability of the department by supporting the management and optimization of categories.
  • Assist in the regular analysis of department performance to identify commercial opportunities.
  • Support the allocation planning for Retail stores to ensure each store receives the correct stock package for their market.
  • Carefully manage our department WSSI(s), ensuring we hit our sales targets while being smart about markdowns and stock levels, proactively flagging any areas where we can improve or benefit from on successes.
  • Support retail teams in managing consolidations to ensure stock is in the right place at the right time to drive the highest full-price sell-through and maximize gross margin.
  • Assist in building new store stock packages, considering regional selling trends.
  • Support the management of intake and OTB to deliver inventory targets.
  • Assist in category ownership within quarterly buys, including analyzing sales, product selection, and sales/ST% forecasting.
  • Contribute to the development of systems and processes to improve efficiency.
  • Build relationships with regional teams and support them with various topics.
