THE ROLE
We are seeking a talented Buyer to join our dynamic Buying team on a maternity cover contract. While primarily focusing on menswear jerseys, this versatile role also oversees menswear shirts and womenswear jerseys. In this position, you will work cross-functionally with our Design, Merchandising, Technical, and Product Development teams. We are looking for a candidate with a robust understanding of the product life cycle—from initial concept to market—and the organizational skills to meet critical deadlines, ensuring seamless product delivery. You will be passionate about all things product and your attention to detail will be second to none.
ABOUT THE TEAM
This role is based at our iconic East London Studios and reports to a Buying Manager. In this role you will have three direct reports. This role focuses on menswear jerseys, but will also oversee menswear shirts and womenswear jerseys.
- Building and briefing seasonal range plans: reviewing trends, comparative analysis, pricing analysis and historical data, before presenting to manager, and then the design team.
- Editing collection to option plan and reviewing product price architecture, before presenting to manager, and then key stakeholder departments.
- Pro-actively reviewing product costs.
- Daily communication with the wider business to track deliveries and ensure accuracy of all data entry related to purchase orders.
- Preparing and analysing weekly and seasonal sales reports using Excel pivot tables to present in weekly and seasonal meetings.
- High level of communication with cross functional teams within AllSaints.
- Managing product data entry in assortment plans, including costs, retails, and purchase orders.
- Managing and maintaining systems with a high level of accuracy.
- Coordinating market preparation and key documents.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR (SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS)
- Able to understand and appreciate the design aesthetic of AllSaints.
- Attention to detail is key as this is a fast paced role, so a sharp eye is essential.
- An intense passion for commerce/product, with a natural commercial instinct.
- Understanding of product life cycle, from inception to market place.
- Team player who collaborates and communicates effectively at all levels.
- Solid experience of working for a commercial vertical fashion retailer at a Buyer level.
- A natural ability to manipulate data to produce reports with accuracy and efficiency.
- A meticulous approach to organisation.
- An analytical approach combined with a track record of accuracy.
- Strong sense of initiative, with ability to independently prioritise individual tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to be flexible over working hours during market and peak periods.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
